African Drum and Dance Show

SPRING 
CHOREOGRAPHY SHOW

For his high school Spring Choreography Show, Dylan choreographed his first solo for his Hip-Hop class, set to “Looking At Me” by Sabrina Carpenter. Originally planned as a trio, the piece became a solo at the last minute and challenged him to step into both choreographer and performer roles. The experience built his confidence and became a major turning point in his journey toward pursuing dance as a career.

African Drum and Dance Show

In his African Drum and Dance class, he learned various African-originated dance styles and traditional rhythms, with a focus on the djembe. For the final performance, the class combined choreography from Betsy Hamill and Hip-Hop dancer Preston James Sam to showcase what they had learned throughout the year.
